Tractus’ Solution

Utilized publically available secondary information as well as primary research

  • In the initial secondary research, Tractus consulted publically available Thai and English-language sources and databases such as that available from Thailand’s Board of Investment, the Thai Electrical and Electronic Institute and online news.
  • Our primary research included accessing our connections with people within the electronics and electrical appliances (E&E) sector, phone calls with raw material and component suppliers and mystery shopping at dealers.

Full detailed report issued to client

  • At the end of the project (2013), Tractus provided a full report detailing historic development, the current capacities, and the future plans of Samsung’s and LG’s appliance manufacturing operations in Thailand.
  • CLK requested that Tractus update the report again in 2014 and 2015.
  • Also, CLK requested Tractus to conduct further investigations in the Vietnam market.
