As Tractus’ lead-manager for the firm’s Corporate Finance practice, Richard brings more than 25 years of corporate finance experience to his portfolio of clients with a proven track record in sell-side deal structuring and transactions. Richard has and continues to work across a range of industries but has recently developed a specialty practice within the firm, focusing on the life science and medical technology sectors. Working extensively with industry and government organizations in the US and Asia, Richard is able to package fundraising around strategic partnerships which not only facilitate access to capital but also expand commercial opportunities for Tractus’ clients.
Prior to joining Tractus, Richard was a Chief Financial Officer of dwp, a multinational architecture and interior design firm with over 400 employees in 9 countries across Asia and the Middle East, where he had both operational responsibilities as well as mandate of growing the business through acquisition. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the company. Richard has also worked in corporate finance roles with small, medium, and large international firms. He has extensive experience in M&A, fundraising, pre-IPO preparation and planning, project development, corporate governance and debt restructuring projects. His experience is packed by previous roles at Citibank, a Thai-based boutique investment bank, as well as exposure founding and running his own corporate financial advisory services business.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Asian Studies. He speaks regularly at conferences on cross border investment in Asia. He has been a regular guest lecturer at the Master of Marketing Program at Thammasat University in Thailand and served as an advisor and judge in the Asia Venture Challenge business plan competition for Master of Business Administration students throughout the region.
